Cozzzmonautica 2022 - Forest of Antennae
23.09.2022
18:00 - 00:00
How can we travel here on Earth overnight to the edges of the universe without huge budgets, expensive equipment and without consuming enormous amounts of resources and energy? How can art, science and imagination help us in this sense?
The theme of this year's Cozzzmonautica edition is the Forest of Antennae - and it reflects the need to develop a new sensibility grown and springing from a terrestrial solidarity, capable of responding to the challenges of an extremely difficult moment in which exploitation without limits, geopolitical entrenchment and the climate crisis can no longer be ignored or separated.
The basic concept is simple: how can we together subtly transform a museum hall, a simple room, a gallery or a classroom – into a possible imaginary spaceship that houses and shelters us? How can we live for a night together on board this improvised shuttle – which will become both a home and an educational space at the same time?
On September 23, 2022 within Cozzzmonautica we want to stimulate and populate such familiar spaces with dreams related to other worlds and other realities.
We are happy to be in the presence of some special guests who will give a series of presentations in the first part of the evening: the science fiction writer Stanley Chen Qiufan from China, the science fiction author Anamaria Borlan from the Antares cenacle in Brașov, the scientist specialist in unconventional informatics Andrew Adamatzky & Irina Petrova Admatzky from Bristol UK and Islamic SF and Arab-futurism specialist Prof.Jörg Matthias Determann from Doha Qatar.

Cozzzmonautica is an alternative educational program dedicated to lovers of outer space, universe exploration and xenobiology, sci-fi and speculative fiction.
A component of this year's Cozzzmonautica is the exhibition - Antenna Forest - in which 24 artists/artists/artistx/group of artists temporarily populate our space with their artifacts, transforming it into a search and communication station with extraterrestrial intelligences. Whether they embrace speculative theories about implants that stimulate your artistic production, or address topics such as the impact of the Anthropocene, aware of the current moment of rupture with our planet, or describe mysterious phenomena - through their works we discover omnipresent complexities and deep interconnections.
