Leenak (Kaneel) and Makunouchi Bento have once again put their minds together and created ‘Errata’, under their Miopedi collaboration. Often split releases come across with a fitting split persona, though Miopedi: Errata has strong personalities reminiscent of the ambience and sound that seemingly existed in memory long before you heard them.
As surreal and haunting as the accompanied artwork, it’s tempting to hunt down the relation and reason behind this caustic ambience.. only no deduction could bring it justice. This is the very essence of the Miopedi project that got us asking for more. Familiar and mysterious at the same time — while retaining the desire of enjoyable and repeated listening.

Miopedi: Errata is a four track download of effortless rumination and gentle melodic structures. The gossamer organic melodies of these tracks dissipate as you hear them, elusive strands of music that touch upon your consciousness like threads of forgotten dreams. [...] I don't know these guys other than the eighteen minutes I just spent in their company, but judging on how many times I hit "Replay" on this EP, I'd say they are welcome at my house any time. Eigenwillig ruhige, Beats eher für den Hintergrund benutzende EP von Makunouchi Bento und Leenak, die auf vier Tracks sehr stark digital bearbeitete Soundscapes dennoch voller Melancholie und Direktheit auf einen loslassen, die klingen als wollten sie noch in die letzten Ecken der Wohung kriechen um dort ihr eigenes Leben als Nanobots so lange zu fristen, bis man auch das letzte Detail gehört hat. Und sogar die etwas psychotischere Variante, wie auf "Lentila Dracului" gerät ihnen nicht esoterisch, sondern auf diese eigenwillige Art abstrakt erzählen aber durch und durch spannend. Read more...

"Cariul C" is certainly the strongest track of the Ep. It's very smooth and delicate. The melodica lead tones blend perfectly with the E-Piano and remind of these old songs from your childhood that you fancied playing on the turntable, lulled by the hyptnotic movement of the groove. Read more...
